Sumner Johnson
About Me
Sumner Johnson is a student from Mt. Vernon High School who has worked at Hibbetts Sporting Goods for the past 10 months. While working part-time, Sumner enjoys building personal computers for his friends and acquaintances. In addition to this, Sumner also dabbles in audio technician work. Employing such skills, he has done personal audio modifications to cars, rooms, and even portable objects like backpacks or duffle bags. In addition to his hobbies, ideas like those mentioned previously resulted after years of novice electrical engineering experience, sourcing from the past 6 years of airsoft technician work and a variety of soldering applications.
As far as leadership is concerned, Sumner has experienced a variety of opportunities which he has used to his entrepreneurial advantage. When he was 13, he initially participated in his Middle School’s tutoring program. During this program, Sumner was able to develop people skills which he later employed throughout his high school career. As a sophomore, Sumner joined his high school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) program. Throughout that year, he helped and provided FBLA with his services, solidifying himself as part of the program. This would later assist him on his way to the FBLA state competition, where he placed 7th overall in the Broadcast Journalism category. In addition to FBLA, Sumner represented the National Honor Society (NHS) in his high school’s Mr. MVTHS male pageant event, where placed top 3 and improved his confidence overall.
“Based on the information I gathered from various CEO-sponsored events I attended throughout my Junior year, I figured CEO would be a great means to narrow my interests down a tangible career path. Despite my current experience, all of it has been hobby-oriented. I’ve never once thought of a particular career that would fit my arsenal of relevant interests. Consequently, since CEO is designed to nurture these characteristics traits, I expect much regarding my personal development as far as CEO is concerned. I’ve not once been through an experience where I didn’t learn something that could be beneficial in the future, so I intend to utilize this program to the fullest extent in order to maximize my success in my career endeavors later in life.” As a visionary, Sumner’s head is often filled with so many possibilities that it’s hard to grasp one particular choice or idea. As such, he typically fails to give his input regarding his opinions on certain subject matter. CEO is probably one of if not the most suitable program that could offer advice tailored to this particular personal affair.
