Brylie Brands
About Me
My name is Brylie Brands and I attend Mt. Vernon Township High School. I am in a number of extracurricular activities including varsity cheerleading, captain of the girls' tennis team, vice president of Future Business Leaders of America, co-student leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Inside of school, I am in five AP and dual credit classes.
After graduating high school, I plan on attending a four-year university with a cheerleading scholarship and pursuing an education in business. I have had a plethora of leadership experiences in a number of different events. This year I was able to go to Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, for Future Business Leaders of America where I learned many great lessons such as learning to network with others, a skill very useful for CEO and throughout my life. Along with that, I have also been to the state competition for cheerleading two years in a row.
I joined CEO because I wanted to obtain new experiences and learn more about future careers I could potentially see myself doing by going on business visits. Networking is also a skill I want to perfect and by the guest speakers and business owners I meet I can expand my number of contacts that will likely be useful to me. Winston Churchill once said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
