It´s officially Pumpkin Patch season!! This morning our group got the opportunity to visit Marlow's Pumpkin Patch in Opdyke, IL. Marlow´s Pumpkin Patch has been open for 26 years now, the first year started with 30 pumpkins and a Pringles can on their porch, going off of the honor system, trusting people to stick a dollar in the can per pumpkin taken. This emphasized the importance that a successful business can start from almost nothing. With 10,000-15,000 people visiting them every year, Marlow's Pumpkin Patch prides themselves with keeping their products affordable for the community, and providing a fun and welcoming environment.
Mr. Marlow was generous enough to give our class a haunted hay ride, and a free pumpkin to walk away with. Thank you to Jefferson County CEO Board Member Carol Martin for joining us on the business visit this morning.
Thank you so much for your generosity and time Marlow's Pumpkin Patch! 🎃
