This morning Michael Jessup, Interim Director for the SIU Small Business Development Center in Carbondale, provided an interactive session on the business model canvas guiding the group on how to create a business plan for their upcoming class business venture. These entrepreneurs will present their business plan to the CEO Board in October to move forward in the class business process. Mr. Jessup also explained some of the other free services the SBDC can offer for individuals starting up a new business. As future entrepreneurs who will be tasked with starting their own business, being knowledgeable about resources available to them is key to their success as they transition to their personal businesses next semester.
