This morning we welcomed Brandon Bullard whose roots run deep when it comes to Jefferson County CEO. Brandon has been involved since day one when CEO was first brought to our county. He has served as Board Chair, partnered as an investor, was the program Facilitator and is currently serving as a mentor.
The topic of conversation today was how to craft the perfect pitch.
"The person to person sales pitch is more important than ever due to the digital world." Brandon encouraged the young entrepreneurs to practice their pitch because it is never a waste of time, "you might be talking to a future customer or making a connection that will help you down the road." He recommended two books to the group: How to Win Friends and Influence People and The 3 Minute Rule. He introduced the WHAC method: what is it, how does it work, are you sure, can you do it
Knowing your audience and learning your audience is different. Brandon stressed the importance of using people's first names and visuals to set themselves apart. "The most successful sales pitches don’t address the product or service they are selling they focus on the problem to be solved." As our group transitions into promoting their class business this is timely advice.
Stay tuned...class business announcement coming soon!
