These are just a few of the many topics covered today by Robin Gelfius of RE/MAX Elite of Mt.Vernon IL. Robins resume is extensive from serving in the Air Force, to working at Disney, appearing in a popular 80’s movie, and co-owning her own business, she knows a thing or two about professionalism. “Someone is always listening, someone is always watching.”

Robin challenged the students to set their standards for themselves high, be a person of their word, hold themselves accountable, take the high road always, be honest and most of all do what’s right even when no one else is looking. “Good isn’t good enough, you have to be outstanding.”

These young entrepreneurs were encouraged to conduct and carry themselves professionally in all aspects of life. From the way they dress, to how they enter a room, to what they post on their social media, Robin emphasized how critical professionalism is to lifelong success. “Handshakes tell people a lot about you.”

The lesson on what makes a good handshake has come none too soon. The Class of 2025 will have plenty of opportunities to perfect their craft throughout the year. 🤝
